Abdoolally
Ebrahim Commodities Ltd is a part of the Abdoolally Ebrahim Group. It is one of
the oldest trading activities of the Group with business traced back to the 19th
Century. Even today, the company has existing clients with whom it was trading
before WWII.
Today
Abdoolally Ebrahim Commodities is engaged in all types of Pulses ,beans, exports
from Myanmar . Beans, cumin seeds,fennel seeds and garlic from China . Chick Peas
and lentils from Turkey , Canada , Iran and Australia . Yellow peas , green peas
and dun peas from Australia, France and Canada.
Abdoolally
Ebrahim Commodities are also traders of all kinds of hardwoods including Teak
and Gurjan from Myanmar. Pine wood from NewZealand , Teak and other hardwoods
from Africa.
With
China emerging in 2003 as a dominant worldplayer in Steel, company has expanded
its activities in importing Minerals such as iron ore and chrome ore and export
of steel billets.
Under
the leadership of Mr Jaffer A Ebrahim a branch office was opened in Burma now
known as Myanmar in 1990 to facilitate the bulk purchase of pulses , teak and
other hardwood logs . By the year 1999 this branch office was amongst the top
ten exporters of the country. It has its own facilities to collect direct from
farmers , grade product, clean and package the beans and pulses.
The
Company's policy is to provide best quality and to honour all its commitments
in the most volatile business of commodities . One good example of this is the
Company's own brand "AECO" which commands a premium in the local markets
in India. It is used as a benchmark in trade journals.
The
Company has branch offices in Pakistan, India and Myanmar. Further branch offices
are envisaged in China. The Company has shared in Hong Kong's fortunes and has
grown from a pioneer family import export trading house into a dynamic international
trade and transport organization, managed and owned by the fourth and fifth generations
of the founder.
